It is intended for sanding wood and similar materials, for example levelling glued-up panels, sizing strips and panels or sanding thin parts from 0.8 mm. Wet sanding is not intended.<\/p>\n<p>The 1.3 kW drum motor (230 V) drives the sanding drum at 1400 rpm. A separate feed motor moves the conveyor belt at a variable speed of 0 \u2013 3 m\/min. The SandSmart control monitors the drum motor load and adjusts the feed rate automatically to avoid overloading. The dynamically balanced aluminium drum dissipates heat and helps prevent burn marks.<\/p>\n<p>The sanding width is 457 mm in one pass, and the open-end design allows widths up to 914 mm in two passes. The drum is raised and lowered by a crank at 1.6 mm per turn. The parallelism of the conveyor table is adjustable.
