Overview
The Baileigh TN-200E is an electric pipe notcher for metal fabrication, railing construction and pipework. It notches SCH 40 pipe in 8 stations from DN 8 to DN 50 at a fixed angle of 90°, with a maximum wall thickness of 3.3 mm. Suitable materials are carbon steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper.
A 1.5 kW fan-cooled induction motor drives an eccentric shaft through a gear reducer, moving the cutter up and down on the nibbler principle. The pipe end is inserted into the matching station, and difficult areas such as weld seams are cut in two or more passes. The scrap falls out through the bottom of the machine.
A magnetic switch and a circuit breaker with reset button protect operator and motor. The gearbox holds 2.0 l of oil. With overall dimensions of 820 × 381 × 356 mm and a net weight of 98 kg, the machine can be mounted on a reinforced workbench.
