Overview

The Tool France TFS-225DA is used for sawing steel, tubes and profiles in workshops, metal fabrication and maintenance. The 400 V motor with 1.1 kW (1.5 HP) has two speed steps, giving blade speeds of 35 and 70 m/min. The blade measures 27 × 0.9 × 2450 mm and runs in carbide blade guides.

At 0° the saw cuts round Ø 225 mm and square 200 × 200 mm, at 45° round Ø 160 mm and at 60° round Ø 90 mm. The saw head swivels for mitre cuts. The main body is a one-piece casting with CNC machining. The start button is in the saw bow handle, and the motor stops when it is released. At the end of the cut a limit switch shuts off the motor.

A coolant system supplies the blade during cutting, with the coolant mixed at a water to oil ratio of 40 to 1. The work table is at 950 mm, giving an ergonomic working height. The machine weighs 210 kg net and is supplied with an operating manual.

Product safety – TOOL FRANCE TFS-225DA Metal Band Saw. Use only for its intended purpose and within the limits specified in the original operating instructions. Operation is restricted to trained adults. Before each use, inspect the machine, guards, controls and power connection; do not operate damaged or incomplete equipment. Ensure stable installation, a clear and well-lit work area and the power supply stated on the rating plate. Before adjustment, cleaning or maintenance, switch off, disconnect the machine from the power supply and wait until all movement has stopped. Wear close-fitting clothing and suitable eye and hearing protection; remove jewellery and secure long hair. Never remove or bypass guards. Clamp the workpiece securely, set the blade guides close to the workpiece and keep hands clear of the cutting line. Remove offcuts and swarf only after the blade has stopped. Do not cut magnesium.
