Overview
The JET JSSG-10-M is a wet sharpening system for joiners, woodturners, carvers and workshops. It is intended for grinding and sharpening tools such as chisels, plane irons, turning gouges and knives. The slow-running, water-cooled grinding wheel prevents the edge from overheating while sharpening.
The motor with 160 W input power (230 V) drives the stone via a friction wheel, and the speed is variable from 90 – 150 rpm. This keeps the grinding speed constant even as the stone diameter decreases. The stainless steel spindle runs in sintered bushings, and the friction wheel pressure is adjustable. The enclosed motor housing keeps out water and debris.
Next to the Ø 250 × 50 × Ø 12 mm grinding wheel sits a Ø 230 × 30 mm leather honing wheel for honing the edge. Supplied with water trough, support arm, straight edge jig, stone grader, honing compound, angle setting gauge and angle finder. A tool drawer is integrated in the housing.
