Overview
The JET JPT-310HH-M is a combined jointer and thickness planer for joinery shops, workshops, trades and schools. It is intended for planing wood and wood-based materials, and metallic materials must not be machined. On one machine, workpieces are surface planed, edge jointed and then planed to thickness.
The 230 V single-phase motor with 2.2 kW drives the cutterblock via belt. The spiral cutterblock with a diameter of 72 mm is fitted with 56 carbide inserts (4 edges) and runs at 5500 rpm. The shearing cut produces clean surfaces even with difficult grain. Dull edges are replaced by turning the insert by 90°. Jointing and thicknessing are possible up to 307 mm width, and the thicknessing capacity is 4 – 225 mm. The maximum depth of cut is 3 mm for jointing and 4.5 mm for thicknessing, and the feed runs at 3.5 m/min and can be switched off.
The cast iron jointer tables have a total length of 1400 mm and open to both sides for changing to thicknessing without removing the fence. The aluminium fence (1100 × 150 mm) tilts from 0° – 45°. Supplied with five spare inserts, jointing fence, adjustable cutterblock guard, dust port, push block and setting gauge.
