JET JWDS-1632OSC-M oscillating open-ended drum sander

The JET JWDS-1632OSC-M is an oscillating drum sander for joinery shops, workshops and schools. It is intended for sanding wood and similar materials, for example levelling glued-up panels, sizing strips and panels or sanding thin parts from 0.8 mm. Wet sanding is not intended.

The 1.1 kW drum motor (230 V) drives the Ø 127 × 406 mm sanding drum at 1400 rpm. A separate feed motor moves the conveyor belt at a variable speed of 0 – 3 m/min. The SandSmart control monitors the drum motor load and adjusts the feed rate automatically to avoid overloading. In addition, an oscillation motor moves the drum from side to side, which reduces visible sanding marks and burn marks.

The sanding width is 406 mm in one pass, and the open-end design allows widths up to 812 mm in two passes. The drum is raised and lowered by a crank at 1.6 mm per turn. The parallelism of the conveyor table is adjustable. Supplied with the height crank and an open stand with mounting hardware.
