Overview
The Baileigh BS-20M-DM is a horizontal metal band saw for cutting solid stock, profiles, tube and beams in metal and steel fabrication, maintenance and production. A 2.2 kW three-phase motor drives the blade through a gearbox, blade speed is variable from 21 – 93 m/min and shown on a readout.
The saw bow swivels for miter cuts up to 45° left and 60° right. At 90° the capacity is 330 × 460 mm (H × W) or Ø 330 mm, at 45° it is 330 × 270 mm or Ø 305 mm and at 60° right 315 × 195 mm or Ø 215 mm. The blade size is 34 × 1.1 × 4130 mm.
The blade is started with a push button, the bow descent rate is controlled with a knob. The bow is returned by hand, this model has no vise clamping cylinder. A coolant pump (0.12 kW) with a 56 l tank supplies the cut, the drip tray returns chips and coolant. Shipping weight is 1090 kg, the operating manual is included.
