Baileigh WP-450 welding positioner

The Baileigh WP-450 is a welding positioner for circular welds and welding in a consistent position in workshops, metal fabrication and training. The 330 mm table carries up to 220 kg horizontally and up to 177 kg tilted with the centre of gravity 152 mm from the table. It tilts from 0 – 90° and is locked with a tilt lock handle.

A 65 W DC motor drives the table through a fully enclosed worm gear drive, and table speed is electronically variable. The table rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. In manual mode the table turns as long as the foot switch is held down, in auto mode a short press starts and stops rotation.

The machined table has centering grooves and 3 T-slots for clamping. A carbon contact brush carries the welding ground to the workpiece, and a test/weld switch can control the welding power source. Table height is 419 mm, net weight is 45 kg. The positioner is anchored to a sturdy bench or the floor.
