JET 719A-M Mortising machine

The JET 719A-M is a mortiser for joinery shops, window and stair making and schools. It is intended for mortising wood and wood substitutes and uses a hollow chisel and bit to cut square mortises for frame, furniture and chair joints.

The 230 V motor with 0.75 kW runs at 1450 rpm. Hollow chisels up to 25 × 25 mm are fitted via adapter bushings for shank sizes 5/8 / 3/4 / 13/16 / 1-3/16 inch, and the stroke is 200 mm. The head runs in a dovetail guide and is adjusted by rack, with a gas strut balancing its weight. The head rotates by 180°, for example for boring door lock pockets. The machine stands on an enclosed base cabinet with storage shelf.

The 180 × 520 mm compound table travels 400 / 100 mm longitudinally / crosswise via large handwheels. End stops and a quick-action clamp support series work. Supplied with 13 mm geared chuck, spindle extension, four adapter bushings, MDF table surface, length stop and depth stop. Hollow chisels are not included.
