Overview
The JET JWL-1015VS-M is a compact lathe for turning wood in workshops, trades, hobby use and schools. It is suitable for spindle work between centres as well as bowls and plates on the face plate, and is bolted to a workbench or to an optional stand.
The 230 V motor with 0.37 kW drives the spindle via a Poly-V belt. The speed is set steplessly with a control knob and shown on an LED display. Three belt steps provide 200 – 1050, 300 – 1750 and 600 – 3600 rpm, with the control electronics maintaining high torque. The swing over bed is 254 mm and the distance between centres 385 mm.
The wide bed is made of cast iron. Headstock and tailstock have an MT 2 taper, and the M33 × 3.5 spindle nose accepts common lathe chucks. 24 × 15° indexing is integrated, and the tailstock quill has a 9.5 mm bore. Supplied with live centre, spur centre, knockout bar, 150 mm tool rest and 75 mm face plate.
