Overview

The JET JWSS-22B-M is a scroll saw for workshops, model making, hobby use and schools. It is designed for sawing wood, wood-based materials and hard plastics with wood-like properties, and is suitable for contours, tight radii and interior cut-outs. With a throat of 565 mm, larger workpieces can also be handled.

The 50 W motor (230 V) produces a blade stroke of 19 mm, and the stroke rate is variable from 400 – 1550 strokes/min. The saw uses plain-end blades of 130 mm length. The upper clamp holder clamps and tensions the blade in one step, and the lower holder is fitted without tools. An open table slot makes blade changes easier.

For bevel cuts the arm tilts 45° left / 45° right while the table stays level. The 600 × 322 mm cast iron table damps vibration. Supplied with five blades, two lower blade holders, dust port, hold-down and levelling feet, and a stand is available as an accessory.

WARNING: Cutting and pinching hazard at the blade and injury hazard from blade breakage. Tension the blade correctly, adjust the guard and hold-down, keep the workpiece flat and hands out of the cutting line. Fully isolate from power before blade changes.

Product safety – JET JWSS-22B-M Scroll saw. • Use only for the intended purpose, within the stated limits and in accordance with the complete operating instructions; trained adults only. • Before every use, inspect the machine, mounting, guards, switches, power cord and dust extraction; do not operate a damaged or incomplete machine. • Provide stable installation, a clear and well-lit work area and the power supply specified on the rating plate and in the manual; electrical work must be performed by qualified electricians where required. • Before setup, tool or filter changes, clearing a fault, cleaning or maintenance, switch off, isolate from the power supply, wait for complete standstill and prevent unintentional restart. • Wear close-fitting clothing, remove jewellery and secure long hair; use eye and hearing protection and suitable respiratory protection for dust as required by the manual and risk assessment. • Keep children and unauthorised persons away; never remove, bypass or defeat guards or safety devices. • Use only suitable, undamaged and correctly tensioned blades; set the blade guide, guard and hold-down as close as practical to the workpiece. • Keep the workpiece flat on the table, use suitable aids for small parts and keep hands to the sides of the cutting line; do not force the material. • If the blade breaks, switch off immediately, wait for standstill and isolate from power before removing fragments or threading a blade.
