Overview
The PROMAC BX-840VT-M is designed for drilling and tapping in workshops, trade businesses, maintenance and production. It drills up to 31.75 mm in cast iron and 25.4 mm in mild steel, and taps threads up to 19 mm in cast iron and 15.9 mm in mild steel.
The motor rated at 1.5 kW (2 HP) is driven by a frequency inverter on a 240 V, 1 Ph, 50 Hz, 10 A supply. Combined with the 2-speed gearbox, this gives a variable speed range of 85 – 540 / 245 – 2000 rpm, with the speed shown on a digital display. A selector switch changes to tapping mode, and reverse rotation is used for tapping only. The spindle has an MT4 taper and a quill stroke of 150 mm.
The table measuring 559 × 476 mm carries up to max. 70 kg, and the throat is 265 mm with a column diameter of 115 mm. The coolant system with a 7.5 l tank is housed in the base, and a swivelling guard with limit switch and a work light are fitted.
