Overview
The Tool France TFD-16 is a bench drill for workshops, trades and schools. The 230 V motor with 0.4 kW drives the ball-bearing spindle via V-belts, with 12 speeds from 200 to 2500 rpm. Drilling capacity is max. 16 mm, the spindle taper is MT2 and the stroke 65 mm.
The cast steel column measures Ø 60 mm. The table is height-adjusted by rack and pinion and tilts up to 45°. The ON/OFF switch has a no-voltage release, and an emergency stop button is fitted. The pulley cover has a safety microswitch and the chuck guard is interlocked.
Supplied are a keyless chuck 1 – 16 mm (B18), chuck arbor, drift key and service keys. A vice is available as an accessory. The machine measures 500 × 260 × 830 mm and weighs 30 kg.

Ensure stable installation, a clear and well-lit work area and the power supply stated on the rating plate. Before adjustment, cleaning or maintenance, switch off, disconnect the machine from the power supply and wait until all movement has stopped. Wear close-fitting clothing and suitable eye and hearing protection; remove jewellery and secure long hair. Never remove or bypass guards. Always secure workpieces with a vice or suitable clamps. Remove chuck keys before starting, keep hands away from the spindle and tool, and remove swarf only after the machine has stopped using a suitable tool.
