Overview

The Tool France TFS-225DG is a mitre band saw for cutting round, square and profile metal stock in workshops and maintenance. The 400 V three-phase motor runs in two stages at 0.59 and 1.1 kW and drives the 2455 × 27 × 0.9 mm blade through a 40:1 gearbox, giving blade speeds of 36 and 72 m/min.

At 0° the machine cuts round Ø 220 mm, square 215 mm and rectangular 260 × 105 mm. For mitre cuts the saw arm swivels up to 60° to the right and up to 45° to the left. The descent rate of the saw arm is set with a hydraulic flow control valve and can therefore be adapted to thin-walled profiles or solid stock.

The vise opens to 260 mm. A 50 W coolant pump supplies the cutting zone, with tank and pump housed in the base. An emergency stop button switches off all functions. The working height is 847 mm and the net weight 280 kg. The sheet steel base, a bi-metal blade, length stop, roller support, service keys and the operating manual are included.

Product safety – TOOL FRANCE TFS-225DG Metal Band Saw. Use only for its intended purpose and within the limits specified in the original operating instructions. Operation is restricted to trained adults. Before each use, inspect the machine, guards, controls and power connection; do not operate damaged or incomplete equipment. Ensure stable installation, a clear and well-lit work area and the power supply stated on the rating plate. Before adjustment, cleaning or maintenance, switch off, disconnect the machine from the power supply and wait until all movement has stopped. Wear close-fitting clothing and suitable eye and hearing protection; remove jewellery and secure long hair. Never remove or bypass guards. Clamp the workpiece securely, set the blade guides close to the workpiece and keep hands clear of the cutting line. Remove offcuts and swarf only after the blade has stopped. Do not cut magnesium.
