JET AFS-500-M air filtration system

The AFS-500-M reduces airborne wood dust in enclosed workshops. Three airflow settings, a 5 µm electrostatic outer filter and a 1 µm inner cartridge provide demand-based air cleaning. Adjustable outlet louvres guide the airflow and the carrying handle aids relocation.

Compatibility

Compatible accessories: 708731 outer filter, 708734 activated-carbon outer filter and 708735 inner filter. HEPA H13 upgrade: 708730H13 with 708730H13-1 magnetic holder set and 7087310 prefilter set. The HEPA system is an alternative filter concept and, according to its documentation, must not be used simultaneously with 708734.

Warnings

WARNING: Risk of electric shock, rotating fan, released wood dust and improper mounting. Fully isolate from the power supply before opening or changing filters. Do not use for smoke, vapours, direct machine extraction or in explosive atmospheres.

• Use only to filter airborne wood dust in enclosed rooms and in accordance with the complete operating instructions
• the unit supports suitable machine dust extraction but does not replace it.
• Before each use, inspect the unit, filters, covers, switches, power cord and mounting
• do not operate damaged or incomplete equipment.
• Do not use in damp or wet conditions, below 0 °C, in explosive atmospheres or near flammable liquids or gases. Do not filter vapours or smoke and never connect a machine directly to the air filtration unit.
• Place on a stable, level surface or mount to a structure with adequate load capacity exactly as specified in the manual
• secure the unit against falling.
• Keep air paths clear and operate only with filters correctly fitted and covers closed. Never reach into the fan while it is running or coasting down.
• Before cleaning, maintenance or filter changes, switch off, unplug, wait for complete standstill and prevent unintentional restart. Wear suitable respiratory protection and minimise dust release when handling filters.
• Mains voltage and frequency must match the rating plate
• electrical connections and repairs must be carried out by qualified electricians.
• Keep children and unauthorised persons away, never leave the running unit unattended and do not modify or defeat safety devices.
