Overview
The Baileigh BSV-12 is a compact vertical band saw for contour and straight cuts in metal in workshops, toolmaking, maintenance and training. A 0.75 kW motor drives the blade, speed is adjusted while running with a handwheel from 30 to 305 m/min and shown digitally in m/min.
The throat is 310 mm and the maximum cutting height 170 mm. The saw uses blades of 2510 to 2610 mm length, 3 to 13 mm width and 0.64 mm thickness on 310 mm wheels. The table measures 405 × 500 mm, tilts 15° left and 45° right and sits at a working height of 885 mm.
The blade welder with 1.2 kVA transformer butt welds blades from 3 to 16 mm wide, a shear and a grinder (0.09 kW) prepare and finish the weld. An LED work light (9 W) and an air tube assist at the cut, an emergency stop switch is fitted. A mounted 6 mm, 14 TPI blade and the operating manual are supplied. Net weight is 327 kg.
