Overview
The Baileigh MPS-3 is a throatless multi-purpose shear for sheet metal up to 2 mm mild steel. It is used in workshops, vehicle bodywork and sheet metal fabrication when radii and contours have to be cut from the sheet in addition to straight cuts. The machine has no motor.
The rotary cutters are driven by a ratchet handle: turning it clockwise pulls the sheet through the cutters. For curved cuts the workpiece is rotated at the same time. For straight cuts the miter gauge serves as a side guide.
Cutter height and cutter gap can be adjusted to the material via an eccentric shaft. The miter gauge, ratchet handle with extension handle and operating manual are supplied. Shipping weight is 22 kg.

Crushing, shearing, cutting, punching and entanglement hazards at tooling, rolls and moving machine parts. Handle sharp and heavy workpieces safely. Trained operators only; never exceed rated capacities.
Secure the machine and use it only within the material and capacity limits stated in the manual. Guide or support the workpiece safely. Keep hands clear of bending, pressing, cutting, punching and pinch zones and use suitable handling aids. Wear eye protection, safety footwear and cut-resistant gloves when handling material. Stop the machine and isolate all energy sources before adjustment, tooling changes, cleaning or maintenance.
