Baileigh SF-5216E sheet metal shear

The Baileigh SF-5216E is a foot-operated shear for cutting sheet metal in workshops, trades, metal fabrication and training. It cuts mild steel up to 1.52 mm and stainless steel up to 0.91 mm over a length of up to 1321 mm. The minimum material thickness is 0.61 mm. The machine has no motor.

Stepping on the foot pedal first lowers the spring-loaded hold-down onto the sheet and then moves the top blade past the lower blade. A clear plastic finger guard on the hold-down keeps hands away from the cutting area. The graduated side guide keeps the material square to the blade, and a miter guide allows angled cuts on smaller parts.

For repeat cuts the back gauge is set precisely using two graduated shafts and micro-adjusters. Front arm extensions support larger sheets. Overall dimensions are 1574 × 1854 × 1092 mm, shipping weight is 544 kg.

Supplied with foot pedal, arm extensions, front and back gauge with micro-adjusters, miter guide, hardware, spare clevis pins and cotter pins and the operating manual.
