Overview
The Baileigh BSV-24 is a vertical band saw for contour, straight and internal cuts in metal in tool and die making, metal fabrication, maintenance and training. A 1.5 kW motor for 220 V, 50 Hz, 1 phase drives the blade via V-belts and a transmission, the speed step is selected with a shift handle.
The throat is 581 mm and the maximum cutting height 336.5 mm. The saw takes blades of 4260 mm length, 6.35 to 19.05 mm width and 0.812 mm thickness. The table measures 620 × 580 mm and tilts 10° front and rear as well as 15° left and right. The guide post is set to the workpiece height with a knob.
The blade welder with shear and grinding wheel welds blades up to 18.79 mm wide, a separate lamp illuminates the weld station. An air pump cools the blade and removes chips, a flexible work light illuminates the cutting area. Shipping weight is 649 kg, the operating manual is included.

Rotating or cutting parts: entanglement, cutting, impact and workpiece-ejection hazards. Observe chips, sparks, dust and noise. Trained operators only; never exceed rated capacities.
Install the machine securely and operate it in accordance with the manual. Clamp the workpiece and tool correctly, use all guards and check the work area before starting. Wear eye or face protection, hearing protection and respiratory protection where required. Keep loose clothing, jewellery and long hair away from rotating parts. Switch off, isolate all energy sources and wait for a complete stop before setup, cleaning, fault removal or tool changes.
