Overview
The Baileigh EW-28 is an English wheel for shaping curved sheet metal parts, for example in vehicle bodywork, restoration and artistic metalwork. The sheet is rolled back and forth between the upper and lower wheel, stretched and given an even crown. It handles mild steel up to 1.21 mm and aluminium up to 1.63 mm.
The frame offers 711 mm throat depth for large panels. The upper wheel measures 203 × 51 mm, six lower wheels with radii from 51 to 305 mm cover gentle to tight curves. Wheel pressure is set with a kick wheel, and the quick release lever allows the workpiece to be removed and reinserted without resetting. The machine has no motor.
Supplied are the upper frame, stand, six lower wheels, lower wheel storage bracket and the operating manual. Shipping weight is 87 kg.
