Overview
The Baileigh MPS-8G is a multi-purpose shear with a 203 mm blade for cutting flat bar and round bar in workshops, metal fabrication and maintenance. It works purely mechanically via a 597 mm hand lever and has no motor.
Flat bar is cut up to 4.75 mm thick, round bar up to Ø 6 mm in a separate cutter opening. Reference material is mild steel with a tensile strength of 441 N/mm². An adjustable hold-down plate keeps the workpiece in position during the cut.
The lower blade has four cutting edges and can be rotated before a replacement is needed. The base footprint is 89 × 349 mm, the shear is bolted to the workbench. It is supplied complete with the operating manual.
