Overview
The Baileigh MSS-16 is a shrinker / stretcher for forming radii and curves in sheet metal for vehicle bodywork, restoration and sheet metal fabrication. Shrinker jaws form outside radii, stretcher jaws form inside radii, and working alternately produces compound curves. It handles mild steel up to 1.5 mm and aluminium up to 1.6 mm with a minimum forming radius of 25.4 mm.
The cast steel body provides 203 mm throat depth for wide sheets, the jaws are made of hardened chromium steel. The unit is operated by a hand lever and has no motor. It is bolted to a workbench, a stand with foot operation is available as an option.
One set each of shrinker and stretcher jaws is supplied together with the operating manual.
