Overview
The Baileigh MSS-18 combines a shrinker unit and a stretcher unit on a common stand. It is used for forming radii and curves in sheet metal in vehicle bodywork, restoration and sheet metal fabrication. It handles mild steel up to 1.21 mm and aluminium up to 1.29 mm, the minimum forming radius is 57 mm.
Each unit is operated by its own foot pedal, so both hands guide the workpiece and the operator can switch between shrinking and stretching without changing jaws. The jaw gap is adjusted to the sheet thickness via knurled nuts, the jaw covers are secured with knurled knobs. Throat depth is 38 mm. The machine has no motor.
Supplied are the shrinker and stretcher units, support stand with base, two foot actuators, mounting hardware and the operating manual. Shipping weight is 36.7 kg.
