Overview
The Baileigh SN-F16-FN is a foot-operated notcher for notching sheet metal corners and edges in workshops, HVAC and metal fabrication. It cuts 90° notches up to 80 × 80 mm in mild steel up to 1.6 mm and stainless steel up to 0.91 mm. Shearing force is 4 t with a stroke of 19 mm, and the machine has no motor.
The material rests on a 254 × 254 mm work table. Adjustable gauges on the table allow notches to be placed repeatably at a corner or at any position along the edge of the sheet. The cut is made with a firm step on the foot pedal.
The blades are made of hardened, precision-ground alloy tool steel. Both lower blades have two cutting edges each and can be adjusted for clean cuts in thinner material. The blades can be resharpened on a surface grinder.
